Finnish That Looks Like English

Here are a few Finnish words and their English meanings (in parentheses) for your amusement:

ale (on sale), helmet (pearls), into (enthusiasm), made (freshwater cod), manner (continent), me (we), on (is), oven (door), ripe (scrap), side (bandage), teen (I do), vain (only), vale (a lie)

It almost reads like a poem.
