Vintage Knits: 1950s Dress and Bolero

If you disregard the alarming wasp-waist girdle this woman is wearing, this dress with matching bolero jacket is absolutely adorable. It’s from the Nomotta California Collection, published in 1954.

  1. I’m crazy about waists and hips, but I just don’t understand that tight-as-a-drum girdle thing. If someone tells me they’re making a comeback, I will put in a transfer request to Venus.
