Jules Feiffer Comics from 1958

I grew up reading Jules Feiffer comics in the local newspaper, but I didn’t realize that he had been writing and drawing for such a long time until I found this book, titled Sick Sick Sick, at a yard sale years ago. It was already pretty beat up when I got it, and is nearly falling apart now, but I still love its expressive drawings and the combination of 1950s concerns with timeless commentary. Here are some of my favorites from the book.

  1. thank you so much for posting these images! i grew up reading this exact book from my father’s bookshelf- it was very educational to me as 13 year old aspiring beatnik.
