Schoolroom Posters from India

I’m back in Helsinki for a couple of weeks, staying with some friends. They have traveled a bit in India, and they have this wonderful poster on their wall.

Ideal boy 3

I don’t have my scanner with me, of course, but I was able to find a copy of the poster online. It’s featured in a delightful book about traditional Indian school posters (that happens to be on the nightstand here) entitled An Ideal Boy: Charts from India. Highly recommended.

There is a corresponding chart of Bad Habits as well:

Bad habits

Here are some more posters found online.

Body parts

Bathroom articles

Moral stories

Women at work

If you pay with a credit card, the currency conversion should be no problem. Just make sure they’re willing to ship to where you are.
