Stevie Wonder: Uptight
The feeling I get when I hear this song is so hard to describe. I don’t remember when I first heard it. It would have been on the radio when I was a toddler. Whenever I hear it now, the sound of Stevie Wonder‘s smiling voice, and especially that horn riff, fill me with the feeling that I’m about to burst with joy, and the feeling is connected to a time before I can remember, when the world of adults (whom I couldn’t really distinguish from teenagers) was full of hope and excitement.
