Kakslauttanen Igloo Village
What do you think, would you like to stay at the Kakslauttanen Igloo Village in Lapland? It looks awfully cold. But their “glass igloos” are very picturesque.

And they have an ice chapel and ice restaurant.

There are virtual tours here.

Wow, how pretty. Shall we take a little trip there for Christmas?
I wonder if those photos were taken at noon?
oh, and congratulations on hitting the half-million mark on visitors. Well done!
I hadn’t noticed that I’d hit half a million. Should I celebrate, or should I wait until a million? Nah – that might take another three years.

We just got back from a stay at Kakslauttanen. There was no ice restaurant or ice chapel :( The surroundings were really quite picturesque and the glass igloos were fantastic, but there were just a few little things that took the shine off what should have been a truly magical experience. We wrote up quite a lengthy review on the good things as well as a few that were less impressive:
Hopefully some others find it useful.
