West Side Story: America

To give those of you who’ve never seen it an idea of why West Side Story has such rabid fans (see previous post), here is what is debatably the best musical number in the film — America, featuring the fantastic dancing of Rita Moreno and George Chakiris.

Of course, this is no way to watch the film. You’ve got to see it on as big a screen as you can.

    I don’t have any trouble getting a picture for this one. Maybe it was just a traffic problem on the video site.
